There are a few things to say about today’s anniversary people but I am out of time – it is past nine and I haven’t begun to write the post.
Birthday Elizabeth has somehow become entangled with a namesake on the FamilySearch Shared Tree and requires careful investigation. Joseph needs attention too – the mother I have for him is not the one on the Shared Tree. I think I have a photograph of James Douglas somewhere – and one or two stories about him. I’ll catch up with him sometime. Elizabeth SCALES was married for three years and a widow for more than half a century. Mary GIBSON was more fortunate. She and her husband George DALE died within a fortnight of each other. He was eighty and Mary sixty-nine.
