Today’s married couple is Tom Holland KILLINGBECK and Betsy Irene CAMMISH. Tom is the brother of Everelda, mentioned in yesterday’s dispatches. Betsy is the daughter of Robert ‘Bobbin’ Cammish and Eva COLLING (AP 1072 · birth · June 25).
Tom and Betsy married at Filey St Oswald’s in 1935. Not having any children gave them the freedom, theoretically, to enjoy each other’s company on days out anywhere in the country.

This snap seems to have been taken on Filey’s Coble Landing!
Betsy departed this life first but they were not separated for long.

Kate has just one piece of information to keep her company on Filey Genealogy & Connections – that she was baptised at St Oswald’s. This is quite startling, considering her father was the photographer Walter FISHER who documented the life of Filey over many years. The Shared Tree brings together the family he created with his first wife Mary Jane MAJOR but ignores the second.
Walter married Elizabeth CODLIN less than six months after Mary Jane’s death. They had seven children together but they haven’t made an obvious impression on the Shared Tree.
Arthur Henry GOFTON is with his parents and fourteen siblings on the Shared Tree but has yet to marry. FG&C says his wife was called Mary but doesn’t give us any details about her. He was living at 7 Southdene when he died.

(Note: Inscription for John Webster BULMER was added after the Crimlisk MI Survey was completed. He may be Mary’s son by her first marriage but he is not in FG&C or my Filey database.)
